
Aniplex has officially uploaded the creditless opening sequence for the Fate/strange Fake anime adaptation to its YouTube channel. This release gives fans a high-energy, unobstructed view of the animation set to the theme song, coinciding with the series settling into its regular broadcast schedule.
The opening sequence features the track “PROVANT,” performed by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Jean-Ken Johnny & TAKUMA. The song delivers the driving rock sound composer Hiroyuki Sawano is known for.
Directing the sequence were Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume, a duo previously known for storyboarding action sequences on Fate/Apocrypha. They brought in Toru Iwazawa, who served as action director for the first season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, to take on the role of unit director for the OP.

The standard Japanese television broadcast began on January 3. The run started with a re-airing of the 2023 TV special, Whispers of Dawn, immediately followed by Episode 1. While Episode 1 saw an advance screening in December 2024 and Episode 2 premiered early at FGO Fes. 2025, the series is now moving forward with its weekly schedule.
A-1 Pictures is handling the animation, continuing their work from the special. The anime adapts the light novel series by Ryohgo Narita, with illustrations by Shizuki Morii. International viewers can expect the English dub to roll out this January alongside the Japanese stream.
