SNK has dropped a new teaser for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, strongly indicating a major crossover with Fist of the North Star. The short animated clip, released on January 8, 2026, sets the scene in South Town. It shows two thugs cornering a boy and girl, only for a mysterious figure to intervene. This figure dispatches the attackers instantly with what appears to be a single-finger strike.
The sound design, posture, and camera framing are direct callbacks to Kenshiro’s signature pressure-point techniques. While SNK has not officially named the character, the visual references are strong enough that most observers are treating this as a soft confirmation that Kenshiro is coming to City of the Wolves as a guest fighter.
The character’s face remains hidden, but the focus lingers on armored legs and arms that match Kenshiro’s established look. Even the defeated thugs resemble the wasteland gangs frequently encountered by Hokuto Shinken practitioners.

This reveal follows a clear pattern SNK has established for rolling out new roster additions. Similar stylized teasers appeared prior to launch and throughout Season 1 for characters like Wolfgang Krauser, Mr. Karate, and Robert Garcia, preceding DLC or season updates. With Season 2 scheduled to begin this January, the timing aligns perfectly for a new wave of characters, bringing Hokuto Shinken into South Town.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is currently live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Players might not have to wait long to test pressure points in SNK’s latest fighting ring.
