The anime adaptation of Tadashi Agi and Shu Okimoto's acclaimed wine manga, The Drops of God, is confirmed for an April premiere. This marks the first time the long-running series, which concluded its original run twelve years ago, will receive an animated treatment.
Studio Satelight, known for titles like Hellsing Ultimate, is handling animation duties. Kenji Itoso is directing the series.
The core cast was revealed. Takuya Satō stars as Issei Tomine, while Kazuya Kamenashi takes the role of Shizuku Kanzaki. Maaya Uchida joins as Miyabi Shinohara, and Banjō Ginga voices Yutaka Kanzaki. Key staff includes Yū Mitsuru supervising scripts, Takehiro Suwa on character designs, and Eishi Segawa composing the music.
Before the full series airs in April, fans can attend an advance screening of the first two episodes. This event is scheduled for February 28 at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo and will feature a talk show with cast members.

Crunchyroll secured international streaming rights across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS regions. The series will air domestically in Japan on Tokyo MX, Kansai TV, and BS NTV.
The source material ran in Kodansha's Morning magazine from 2004 through 2014. The property has seen previous adaptations, including a 2009 Japanese live-action drama and the recent Apple TV+ series, which recently launched its second season.
