MAPPA is confirmed to be handling the animation production once again. Director Yuichiro Hayashi returns to the helm, alongside series composer Hiroshi Seko. The musical group (K)NoW_NAME will also handle the score for the second season.
The core voice cast remains locked in for the new season. Wataru Takagi returns as Caiman, Reina Kondo as Nikaido, Kenyu Horiuchi as En, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Shin, and Yu Kobayashi as Noi. Supporting roles are also confirmed, including Miyu Tomita as Ebisu and Kengo Kawanishi as Fujita.

This second run follows the success of the first season, which debuted in 2020 and introduced Hayashida’s unique world to a wider audience. While Season 1 initially had Netflix exclusivity, TOHO Animation confirmed that the first season will expand to other platforms starting March 8. Season 2 is expected to launch globally across multiple streaming services from day one, ensuring worldwide access immediately as it dives back into the ongoing conflict between the residents of Hole and the powerful sorcerer hierarchy.
