Diamond no Ace Act II Second Season Confirmed for Spring 2026 Debut with All-New Production Team

The highly anticipated return of the powerhouse baseball saga, Diamond no Ace: Act II Second Season, has been officially confirmed, setting its premiere for Spring 2026. This electrifying announcement follows a six-year hiatus since the conclusion of the previous installment in March 2020. The official website released a new visual and the first promotional video, capturing the raw intensity of high school competition. This sequel is scheduled to begin airing across TV Tokyo, its affiliates, and AT-X starting in April 2026.
Revamped Production Staff Takes the Field
The sequel introduces several significant creative changes within the production staff. Hideaki Ōba, known for his work on titles such as I'm in Love with the Villainess, steps into the role of director, bringing a fresh perspective to the series. While the series scripts maintain continuity under the returning Kenji Konuta, the character design responsibilities have been passed to Yasukazu Shōji, recognized for recent contributions to Restaurant to Another World Season 2. Hajime Hyakkoku returns to compose the score, ensuring the series retains its signature sonic landscape. Animation duties are entrusted to OLM, continuing the visually dynamic adaptation.
The newly unveiled promotional imagery powerfully showcases the enduring partnership between pitcher Eijun Sawamura (voiced by the returning Ryota Ohsaka) and the resolute catcher Kazuya Miyuki. The entire core cast is confirmed to return, propelling Seido High School's relentless quest for the Koshien championship.

Ryota Ohsaka, the voice of Sawamura, expressed the collective relief and fervor of the cast, stating, "We've come this far thanks to everyone's support! And now that we've made it here, I want to see it through to the end!"
This continuation builds upon Yūji Terajima's monumental 16-year manga run, which meticulously chronicled Sawamura's evolution from an overlooked talent to a national phenomenon. The franchise's cultural impact extends beyond anime, having inspired global baseball figures. Fans can prepare for the renewed drama, high-stakes rivalries, and unwavering spirit as Diamond no Ace: Act II Second Season guarantees an unforgettable return in 2026.
