A new visual has surfaced for The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie, confirming the compilation film is set to hit Japanese theaters on February 13, 2026. The visual prominently features Kana Ichikawa performing with her in-universe band, Primary COLOR.
This theatrical release will not be a simple rehash of the existing TV anime; it compiles footage from both seasons while adding crucial new material. The film will include the confirmed live performance scene with Ichikawa, plus a previously unaired, special moment between the main duo, Kyotaro and Anna Yamada.
Yorushika is providing the film's theme song, titled "Madder" ("Akane").

Most of the core production staff are back for the movie at Shin-Ei Animation. Hiroaki Akagi returns as chief director, though Dali Chen is stepping into the role of main director. Jukki Hanada is handling the script once again. Masato Katsumata is credited with character design, and Kensuke Ushio is composing the music. Shun Horie and Hina Yomiya are reprising their roles as Kyotaro and Anna, respectively.
This compilation serves as a major checkpoint for the franchise, which began with Season 1 in April 2023 and concluded Season 2 earlier this year. The film is also slated for theatrical runs outside Japan. International distribution is confirmed for the US, Germany, Italy, France, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and parts of Central America.
The story follows Kyotaro Ichikawa, a self-styled brooding outcast obsessed with the class idol, Anna Yamada. His dark fantasies take a turn when he realizes Yamada has her own set of unusual habits.
