Dual-World Adventure Continues: 'I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World' Anime Special Premieres March 2026

Fans of the acclaimed 'I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too' series can anticipate a new anime television special. This special is officially scheduled for broadcast in late March 2026. It will continue the dual-world adventures of Yūya Tenjō, whose life changed after discovering a mysterious portal to the fantastical realm of Argena.
The narrative is based on the popular light novel series written by Miku and illustrated by Rein Kuwashima. It follows Yūya as he navigates a world filled with danger and wonder. Empowered by incredible abilities acquired in Argena, he confronts various adversaries, including menacing demons, enigmatic extraterrestrials, and even divine beings, while managing his life in the real world.

The original voice cast will return for the special. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will reprise his role as Yūya Tenjō. He is joined by Akari Kitō as Kaori Hōjō and Kaori Maeda as Lexia von Arcelia, ensuring a familiar auditory experience for loyal viewers.
Building on the success of the original anime series, which aired from April to June 2023 under the direction of Shin Itagaki and the combined production efforts of Millepensee and UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS, the upcoming special retains its core creative team. Itagaki returns to direct, ensuring narrative consistency and stylistic integrity. Hiromi Kimura will once again helm character designs, maintaining the distinctive visual appeal fans adore, with UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS continuing its pivotal role in the animation's production.
The exciting announcement was unveiled during the prestigious Fantasia Bunko Hōsōkyoku Aki no Dai Kanshasai livestream event. A tantalizing teaser visual and detailed character setting images were also revealed, further fueling fan excitement. This special is poised to deliver an even greater dose of the action-packed thrills and rich fantastical elements that have become synonymous with the series, promising an unforgettable journey for its dedicated global fanbase.
