The anime adaptation of The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows is officially returning for a second season. The confirmation arrived today during the GA Fes 2026 livestream, where a new promotional video and a teaser visual for the upcoming run were also revealed.
Studio Macaria is back on animation duties, handling the sequel under returning director Jo Yoshizaki. Key production personnel are also reprising their roles, including scriptwriter Daisho Miyagi, character designer Denpuougi, and composer Harumi Fuki.
The core voice cast is set to return, featuring Shogo Sakata as Zenos, Yoko Hikasa as Carmilla, Miharu Hanai as Lily, Sayaka Kikuchi as Loewe, and Mashiro Hitaka as Lynga.

Original author Sakaku Hishikawa expressed surprise and gratitude regarding the renewal, referencing an emotional speech she gave at the Season 1 wrap-up party about hoping for a reunion. Hishikawa began the light novel series, illustrated by Daburyu, on Shosetsuka ni Naro back in November 2020.
SB Creative has handled the print publication since October 2021, alongside existing manga and webtoon adaptations. J-Novel Club manages the English licensing for both the novels and the manga.
The series follows Zenos, a self-taught healer who is cast out by his initial adventurer group for being deemed 'useless.' He subsequently sets up an unlicensed clinic in the slums, where he gains notoriety as the 'dark healer' due to his exceptionally potent medical skills.
Crunchyroll previously streamed the first season, which premiered in April on Tokyo MX and BS11 and included an English dub. While the newly released PV offers a glimpse into Zenos and his crew’s next set of adventures, a specific premiere date for Season 2 has not yet been announced at the time of reporting.
