The production team behind Blue Box Season 2 has released a second key visual, keeping the momentum high following the official Fall 2026 premiere announcement. The new visual features a Christmas tree set up inside an auditorium gym. Illustrator Rei Kato is credited with drawing the piece, which arrives just after the series was confirmed to anchor the Fall 2026 anime lineup on TBS during Jump Festa '26.
Season 1 concluded its initial two-cour run back in October 2024. While the Japanese broadcast was on TBS, episodes streamed weekly on Netflix at the time of reporting.
The core creative team is set to return for the next installment. Director Yuichiro Yano, series composer Yuko Kakihara, and character designer Miho Tanino are all back on board to shepherd the second season.
The main voice cast will also reprise their roles: Shoya Chiba as Taiki Inomata, Reina Ueda as Chinatsu Kano, Akari Kito as Hina Chono, Chiaki Kobayashi as Kyo Kasahara, and Yuma Uchida as Kengo Haryu.

The series adapts Koji Miura's manga, which began as a one-shot in 2020 before starting serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2021. Shueisha had compiled 23 volumes of the source material by December 2025.
The story centers on Taiki Inomata, a dedicated badminton player, as he pursues the school's star basketball ace, Chinatsu Kano, while navigating high school life at Eimei High.
