Square Enix officially launched the boys' love manga Love’s Just an Act on its international MANGA Up! Global platform. The digital debut began January 1, 2026, expanding the availability of the popular BL title to overseas readers.
The first chapter is immediately available for free reading. Subsequent chapters, specifically 2.1 through 11.3, require a paid membership to access. Square Enix confirmed that new content for the series will be released weekly every Friday.
The series joins the platform's existing catalog, which includes established hits like Cherry Magic! and original titles such as Code of Misconduct. Readers can access the manga through the dedicated MANGA Up! Global app or the official website.
This digital release continues the trend of increasing BL availability internationally. While the digital release is confirmed, Square Enix has not announced any English print news at the time of reporting.
Love’s Just an Act follows Taniguchi Makoto, an actor in his thirties who secures a major lead role only to discover the project is a BL drama. Makoto's initial panic over playing a gay character sets up the conflict as his professional, fake on-screen romance begins to turn genuine.
