Beloved Comedy Series 'Everyday Host' Officially Greenlit for Anime Sequel

The unique world of Tokyo's host club scene is officially set to return to the small screen. Fans of the acclaimed four-panel comedy manga adaptation, Everyday Host, are celebrating the confirmation of an anime sequel. This significant announcement was delivered to supporters during a dedicated fan appreciation festival held in Tokyo on November 29, 2025, where the series' voice talent and creative staff gathered to acknowledge the franchise's continued success.

Everyday Host, which skillfully combines slice-of-life comedy with the distinct environment of the nightlife industry, originated as a four-panel manga created by Nimo Gotō. The series initially debuted online in July 2020 across platforms such as Pixiv and Niconico Seiga. It rapidly developed a dedicated readership before concluding its run in October 2022. Its widespread popularity led to its acquisition by Kadakawa Shoten, resulting in the release of five digital volumes under their Asuka Comics DX imprint between September and December 2024.

Production Details of the Original Series

The first television adaptation was produced by Fanworks, with director Rarecho, known for his work on the hit series Aggretsuko, leading the creative team. The short-form series premiered on April 5, 2025, airing on TV Tokyo and BS NTV. This compact format captivated viewers for two consecutive broadcast quarters, delivering a total of 24 episodes throughout the spring and summer of 2025.

The memorable voice cast brought the colorful characters to life, featuring Hiro Shimono as the protagonist Kōichi. The ensemble cast also included Taku Yashiro, Tasuku Hatanaka, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Hidenobu Kiuchi, Yūichirō Umehara, Kōtarō Nishiyama, and Kōhei Amasaki. The infectious theme song, also titled “Everyday Host,” was performed by the EbuHosu Players, a collective composed of the main voice actors.
