The official website for the upcoming Baki-dou anime confirmed the full production staff and revealed a new main visual for the Netflix exclusive series. All 13 episodes are set to hit Netflix globally on February 26, 2026.
TMS Entertainment is handling the production, bringing back key veterans from previous installments. Director Toshiki Hirano, who helmed the earlier Baki entries, returns to the chair. Tatsuhiko Urahata is taking on series composition duties, and Shingo Ishikawa is back managing character designs.
The technical team sees some new additions, including Yasuhiro Moriki and Masahiro Sugiyama credited as prop designers. Seiko Akashi steps in as the new art director, working alongside Sachiko Kigasawa, with Akashi also handling art setting. Hiromi Miyawaki manages color design, and Tatsuo Noguchi serves as the director of photography.
Post-production staff includes Yuriko Sano on editing, Yasuyuki Urakami directing sound, and Masahiro Shouji crafting sound effects. Kenji Fujisawa returns to compose the score.
The story adapts Keisuke Itagaki's manga sequel, picking up immediately after the massive father-son showdown between Baki and Yujiro. This new entry will see Baki face off against the resurrected legendary swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi.

Naoya Uchida will voice Musashi. Nobunaga Shimazaki reprises his role as Baki, and Akio Otsuka is back as Yujiro Hanma. This new entry follows the 2018 reboot, the Great Raitai Tournament Saga, and the recent Hanma Baki seasons.
