WIT Studio has confirmed that the fourth season of Ascendance of a Bookworm, officially titled Ryoushu no Youjo (Adopted Daughter of an Archduke), will premiere in Spring 2026. The announcement arrived alongside the first promotional video, which revealed the anime is set for two consecutive cours starting April 4.
The broadcast will air across Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV Network, with Tokyo MX also carrying the series. This two-cour commitment signals that WIT Studio is ready to tackle the significant narrative developments found in Part 3 of the light novel series.
Director Yoshiaki Iwasaki is returning to the helm. While the main cast remains, there is a notable change in the production staff: Aiko Minowa is taking over as the new character designer for this run.
The teaser video focused heavily on Myne’s current life as Rozemyne, the archduke’s adopted daughter, highlighting her relentless pursuit of books while navigating the political dangers her massive mana pool generates.
J-pop group Little Glee Monster will perform the opening theme, titled "Pages."
Returning voice actors include Yuka Iguchi as Rozemyne and Show Hayami as Ferdinand. Mariko Kunisawa is handling the series composition, and Michiru is composing the music.
Several new production staff members were also announced. Seiki Tamura, known for his work on The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, joins as the art director. He is supported by Ikuko Tamine, Ayami Hidaka, and Yifei Lu for art design.

Mayuko Koike is handling the director of photography, and Junichi Masunaga is editing. For sound, Jun Watanabe is directing, with Hiromune Kurahashi managing sound effects.
