Agents of the Four Seasons Anime Sets Spring 2026 Debut, Unveils New Winter Visual and Composer Kensuke Ushio

Wit Studio has officially confirmed that the anime adaptation of Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring is set to premiere in Spring 2026. The studio dropped the release window along with a new winter visual, giving fans another look at the seasonal cast.
The visual features the Agent of Winter, Rousei Kantsubaki, and their Guard, Itecho Kangetsu. This adaptation is shaping up to be a major fantasy event, backed by a strong creative team.

Adding significant weight to the production, Kensuke Ushio has been tapped to compose the music. Ushio’s extensive resume suggests the series is aiming for a sweeping, atmospheric soundscape. Ken Yamamoto is directing the series, with Kazuhiro Furuhashi advising on animation direction.
The source material comes from Kana Akatsuki, known for authoring Violet Evergarden, lending the project considerable pedigree in emotional fantasy storytelling. The original light novel series saw commercial success, notably topping a category in the 2022 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guide. Yen Press is managing the English release of the manga adaptation.
Ayumu Hisao is handling the series composition, while Namiko Torii is designing the characters. Key staff from Wit Studio’s Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song- are also involved, including animation producer Jo Otani and compositing director Keisuke Nozawa.
The core narrative revolves around Hinagiku, the Agent of Spring, who disappeared a decade ago along with her season. Her eventual return is the catalyst for restoring the natural cycle and reconnecting with the Agent of Winter.
